Cora Mae Blackstone, 85, of Lewisville, Ohio, passed away Sunday, March 23, 2025, at her home. She was born in Flushing, Ohio, May 10, 1939, a daughter of the late Leonard and Estelle Morris Lendon.
Cora enjoyed taking care of the elderly and had run the Lewisville Boarding Home in Lewisville for four years. She enjoyed canning, loved spending time with her family and was a big Elvis fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Blackstone, son, Ronald Blackstone, grandsons Clifford Blackstone, and Michael Vinson.
She is survived by sons Joe Blackstone of Summerfield, Thomas Blackstone of Powhatan Point, Kenneth (Belva) Blackstone of Lewisville, and Bruce (Louise) Blackstone of Lewisville, daughters Judy (Henry) Vinson of Powhatan Point, and Teresa (Samuel) Scarberry of Elm Grove, two sisters, Betty Matson of Buckeye Lake and Elsie Bonam of Wooster, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren and two on the way, along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends received from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday March 27 at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2025, with Rusty Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery Lewisville.
