DALE S. PLUMLY

 Dale S. Plumly, 96, of Somerton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on October 7, 1928, in Somerton to the late Willard J. and Alice (Schafer) Plumly.
 Dale was a lifelong farmer, a veteran of the Korean War, he founded Plumly Lumber along with his brother Derwin and owned and operated W.J. Plumly Trucking until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing just about anywhere. He was a member of Somerton Church of Christ, Friendship Lodge #89, Cattlemans Association, American Legion Post 168, and the Wednesday Card Group “Shoot a Buck”.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepmother, Eileen Plumly; wife, Beverly “Dolly” (Howell) Plumly on January 1, 2012; and a brother, Derwin Plumly.
 Dale is survived by his sons, Jeff (Diane) Plumly, Joe (Julie) Plumly, and David (Michele) Plumly; a daughter, Amy (Erik) Calhoun; 14 grandchildren, Meghan (Chaz) Ruoff, Jerrod Plumly, Madison Plumly, Beverly (Lucas) Prati, Allison (Dustin) Starr, Miranda Jo (Jeg) Huff, Zach Netz, Corey (Chelsea) Plumly, Mason Plumly, Jeb Plumly, Ava Calhoun, Elijah Calhoun, Ella Calhoun, Ezra Calhoun; and 12 great-grandchildren; and his special buddy, “Buster”.
 Visitation will be held on Monday, January 6, 2025, from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 p.m. at Campbell-Plumly-Milburn Funeral Home, 319 North Chestnut Street, Barnesville, Ohio. Masonic Services will be held on Monday at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 1 p.m. with Ev. Kim McFarland officiating. Burial will follow at Somerton Southern Cemetery in Somerton.
 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Dales memory to Somerton Church of Christ, 55276 Washington Street, Barnesville, OH 43713.
