David Bruce McCleary, 57, of Bethesda, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020, at the Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland.
He was born in Columbus, on Dec. 17, 1962, a son of the late Donna Sue Hall McCleary.
He was a former block mason and handyman. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan, enjoyed fishing, cooking out and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to this mother, he was preceded in death by two nephews, Joseph McCleary and Anthony Martin.
Surviving are the love of his life, Melissa McCleary; two daughters, Chelce (James) Deroam, of Barnesville, and Amber McCleary, of Bethesda; one son, Joshua (Lilly) McCleary, of Hurst, Texas; three brothers, Robert McCleary, of Columbus, Richard McCleary, of Columbus, and Joseph McCleary, of Columbus; seven grandchildren and one on the way; two nieces, Rachel McCleary Delong and Magen McCleary; and four nephews, Robert McCleary, Sean McCleary, Brandon McCleary and Nathanial Welch.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020, at the Johnson Family Cemetery near Jerusalem with Rev. Tom Detling officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.
