David J. Kuhn, 60, of Lewisville, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer at the Marietta Memorial Hospital, Marietta.

He was born at Barnesville on Oct. 21, 1962, a son of Joseph Kuhn, who survives of Lewisville, and the late Martha Cornelius Kuhn. 

Dave was a retired coordinator for the Monroe County E.M.S.; a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield; a member and a former chief of the Lewisville Volunteer Fire Department and a former member of the Woodsfield Emergency Squad.

Dave had a lot of memories attending the former Jamboree in the Hills and always enjoyed helping others in a time of need.

Surviving in addition to his father, are his daughter, Erica (Ryan) Dyar, of Marietta; three brothers, Michael Kuhn, Ronnie Kuhn and Chris (Jodie) Kuhn, all of Lewisville; three grandchildren, Jase David Dyar, Coletyn Dyar and Alyssa Dyar; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield. Vigil services will follow at 7:30 p.m.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 18, 2023, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield, with Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik as the celebrant.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lewisville.
