David S. Rinkes, 66, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, November 28, 2024, at his home.
 He was born at Martins Ferry, Ohio, on May 8, 1958, a son of the late Ruth Secoy Rinkes.
 David was a former truck driver for 32 years. He was a pastor serving various Methodist churches throughout the area.
 He enjoyed spending time with his animals, especially his cats.
 Surviving are his wife Helen Marlene Patterson Rinkes of the home; one son, Chuck (Amanda) Rinkes of Morgantown, W.V.; one brother, Tom (Patty) Rinkes of Martins Ferry; one grandson, Ben­jamin David Rinkes and one on the way.
 Friends will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield, on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 1 p.m. until time of funeral services at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jim Porter officiating.
 Inurnment will follow at the convenience of the family.
