David W. Langsdorf

David W. Langsdorf, 80, of New Matamoras, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2023, at his home. 

He was born Sept. 24, 1942, at Fly, a son of the late Ralph and Dora Minger Langsdorf.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran, retired from Ormet Aluminum Hannibal, and was a member of the Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Kathleen C. Langsdorf; second wife, Shirley Langsdorf; and one brother Ronald Marvin (Karen) Langsdorf.

He is survived by his children, Kim (Gary) Bayes, of Sardis, Kerry (Robin) Langsdorf, of Woodsfield, Doug (Crystal) Langsdorf, of Oakwood; grandchildren Greg (Shauna) Bayes, of Clarington, Nathan (Victoria) Langsdorf, of Zanesville, Derek (Kayla) Bayes, of Woodsfield, Whitney Langsdorf, of Zanesville, Heath (Morgan) Langsdorf, of Zanesville, Garrett (Megan Pickens) Langsdorf, of Wheeling, West Virginia, and Marciano Murdock, Curtis Langsdorf and Emmitt Langsdorf, all of Oakwood; great grandchildren, Landon, Gauge, Alyvia, Cali, Nathan, Khloe, Brooke, Lily, Easton, Hunter, Tinsley, Rylee, Cole and Ellie; brothers, Roger (Nancy) Langsdorf, of Antioch, Steve (Linda) Langsdorf, of Sardis, Tom (Becky) Langsdorf, of Sardis, and Sam (Pinky) Langsdorf, of New Martinsville, West Virginia; sister-in-law, Sheila Langsdorf, of Sardis; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received Monday Sept. 25, 2023, and Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023, until time of funeral service at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield, with Jeremy Joy officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt Olive Cemetery near Sardis.
