Debbie Edwards, 65, of Proctor, West Virginia, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, at Wetzel County Hospital, New Martinsville, West Virginia.
She was born Dec. 18, 1954, in New Martinsville, a daughter of Shirley Schaum Monahan and the late Charles Monahan.
She was a member of Grandview Fire Department and Tyler County Search and Rescue.
In addition to her father she was preceded in death by a sister, Jennifer Fluharty.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Robert Edwards; her mother of Duffy; a son, Casey (Amanda) Edwards of New Martinsville, West Virginia; four daughters, Dawn Ann Edwards of Follansbee, West Virginia, Catherine Thomas of Woodsfield, Melissa Sue Edwards of Shadyside, and Randie (William) King of Clarington; four brothers, Bruce (Sandy) Monahan of Cambridge, Tim (Robin) Monahan of Paden City, West Virginia, Andy Monahan of Cambridge, and Eric Monahan of Duffy; three sisters, Kathy (Vaughn) Harman and Brenda Parker, both of New Matamoras, and Tammy Kanner of Clarington; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Family received friends Saturday, Feb. 22, 2020, at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, West Virginia. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Sympathy expressions may be left at grisellfuneralhomes.com.
