A dedication for the newly erected tombstone for Michael Pfalzgraf (aka: Michael Pfalzgraf Sr.) will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the Miltonsburg Cemetery on State Route 145.

Michael Pfalzgraf Sr. (1781-1852), Michael Pfalzgraf Jr. (1809-1867), and Elizabeth Diehl arrived in Baltimore aboard the ship Charles Ferdinand from Le Havre, France in 1832 or 1833. They were of German descent from the Alsace area near Strasbourg, France (Strassburg, Germany) by the Rhine River.

They purchased land in what is now Monroe County. 

Michael Pfalzgraf Jr. and his wife Elizabeth Diehl Pfalzgraf were the parents of 14 children. Their children married into the following Monroe County families: Christman, Bintz, Eberly, Kindelberger, Neibch, Neuhart, Ruble, Crawford, Miller, Koehler, Brownfield and Kilburn.
