Dennis Sinclair Hamilton was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Woodsfield, the youngest of four siblings to Vernon and Margaret Hamilton. 

He graduated from Woodsfield High School. He was drafted into the Army, serving in the Vietnam War. 

He enjoyed watching sports games, especially the (previously) Cleveland Indians. He was a great storyteller who liked sharing the memories he made in Monroe County. He passed away on Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, at his residence. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Margaret Hamilton; siblings, Marlene (Jerry) Morgan, Shirley (Lewis) Stewart, Eulalia (Jim) Walker, and Alan Hamilton. 

He left behind a dear sister-in-law, one aunt, a step granddaughter, two step-grandsons and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

His celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2023, at the Woodsfield Church of Christ fellowship building.
