Donald Lee Bunting, 73, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Wheeling Hospital. He was born in Caldwell, Ohio, Friday, October 13, 1950, a son of the late Otto and Minnie Violet (Green) Bunting.
He worked at several different jobs in his life. 24 years at Watt Car and Wheel in Barnesville where they made deep mine equipment for the coal mines. He was a semi truck driver over the road for 30 years, 20 years for Auto Zone Distribution Center in Zanesville, Ohio, delivering to different stores in different states. After he retired from Auto Zone, he worked for Monroe County Public Transportation taking clients to appointments.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother Orris Bunting and two sisters Shirley Tuttle and Wilma Morris.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years Cathy, and his three children; Bryan (Valerie) Bunting of Columbus, Yvonne (Kerry) Nalley and Robbie Bunting, both of Woodsfield, grandchildren Ryan (Heather) Bunting and Chelsea Bunting of Columbus, Kara and Kole Nalley of Woodsfield, Blake and Layla Bunting of Belmont/Woodsfield, and great-granddaughter Ophelia Grace Bunting of Columbus, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and friends.
Friends will be received from 6 – 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 19 and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2024, at Bauer – Turner Funeral Home, 100 South Paul Street, Woodsfield, with Scott McFarland officiating. Burial will follow in Calais Cemetery.
