Doris Jean Lude, 83, of Woodsfield, passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at Arbors of Woodsfield.

She was born at Beallsville on July 1, 1939, a daughter of the late Floyd and Lucinda Stewart Ault.

Doris was a nursing assistant at the former Woodsfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Woodsfield, and was a member of the Jackson Ridge Church of Christ near Woodsfield and the Woodsfield Church of Christ, Woodsfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lude, on July 1, 2014; two brothers, Stephen Daniel Ault in infancy and Robert “Bob” Dale Ault; and a brother-in-law, James Mercer Jr.

Surviving are one son, Timothy (Jodee) Lude, of Woodsfield; one sister, Betty Mercer, of Jerusalem; four grandchildren, Ryan, Brandon, Austin and Marley Lude; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield. 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at the funeral home, with Keith Jones officiating.

Burial will follow in the Antioch Cemetery, Antioch.
