Edwin Lynn “Eddie” Piatt, 72, of Woodsfield, (formerly of Graysville) passed away Saturday, May 30, 2020 at the Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield.

He was born in Marietta on January 4, 1948, a son of the late Charles Denver Piatt and Dora Vess Piatt.

Eddie was a self-employed farmer, having raised cattle and sheep. He also enjoyed making hay on the farm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Denzil Piatt; three sisters-in-law, Vivian Piatt, Marsha Piatt and Murial Piatt.

Surviving are three brothers, Denver Piatt of Woodsfield, Ronnie Piatt of Mantua, Gary Piatt of Graysville; several nieces and nephews including Tom Piatt who was con sidered like a brother.

Abiding with the State of Ohio recommendations for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic, a private visitation will be held for family only at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Graysville, with Keith Jones officiating.
