Elson Lee Hinkle III, 60, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at the WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.V.
 He was born at Bellaire, Ohio, on January 28, 1964, a son of Elson and Phyllis Thomas Hinkle.
 He was a former employee of Asplundh Tree Service.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Hinkle.
 Surviving are two sons, Elson Hinkle IV of Paden City, W.V., Travis Hinkle of Woodsfield; one half-brother, James Thomas of Woodsfield, and six grandchildren.
 There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
 Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield.
