Evelyn Faye Lindamood, 87, of Woodsfield passed away peacefully surrounded by her family in the comfort of her own home, on Friday, December 27, 2024.
She was born February 20, 1937, in Cameron, Ohio, a daughter of the late Samuel and Ferne Rothenbuhler.
Evelyn was a 1955 graduate of Woodsfield High School and a member of Cameron Church of Christ where she was a faithful servant of the Lord. She was a dedicated homemaker and caregiver who was known for her unwavering hard work, home cooked meals, and homemade rhubarb pies. Evelyn spent countless hours cultivating her beautiful, abundant flower beds and multiple gardens.
Evelyn married the love of her life, Jim Lindamood, in 1955 with whom she spent 69 years of marriage. Together they built a beautiful life full of laughter and memories. Evelyn and Jim shared a deep love for one another as well as a passion for gardening, hunting, canning, cooking, and caring for animals. Their bond was evident in the way they embraced life together, always finding joy in their shared interests and creating countless memories along the way.
Her nurturing, yet strong-willed, spirit was felt by her children, Rhonda (Randy) Feisley, Rosalea (Jan) Swallow, Debra (Dave) Humbert, and Jimmie Lindamood, as well as her 11 grandchildren, Renee Ware, Rachelle Brinker, Robert Feisley, Ryan Feisley, Austin Swallow, Elaina Swallow, Westin Swallow, Diana Humbert, Danielle Humbert, Eve Kuhn, and Coleton Lindamood, and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three brothers, Walter, Lloyd, and Emory Rothenbuhler, her three sisters-in-law, Claire, Evelyn, and Catherine Rothenbuhler, and one sister, Gladys (Ray) Ward.
Surviving are her husband Jim Lindamood, sister Dorothy (Wayne) Henthorn, and numerous nieces and nephews.
We would like to express our gratitude to caregivers Kristy Kinzy and Trenda Fletcher for their exceptional care, compassion, and commitment to our parents. Their kindness and dedication made a profound difference in Evelyn and Jim’s lives and we are forever grateful. In addition, we would like to recognize the care and support from Stonerise Home Health and Hospice.
Friends and family will be received at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, Ohio, from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at Cameron Church of Christ at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025. Burial will follow at Cameron Cemetery, Cameron.
