Forrest Leek Jr., age 82, of Clarington, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022, at his home.
He was born Aug. 19, 1940, at Captina, West Virginia, son of Alice Pearl (Scott) Leek and the late Forrest Leek.
Forrest graduated from River High School in 1959. He was retired coal miner from #4 mine, was a truck driver and owner/operator of Leek Transportations, and an employee of Fostoria Glass Works. He loved his children and grandchildren. Forrest was a member of the Riverside Baptist Church in Clarington.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Judith “Judy” (Oliver) Leek; his mother, Alice Scott Leek; three children, Michele, Paul “Andy” (Norma Jean) Leek, Joyce Ann (Steven) Raper; grandchildren, Ashley (William) Gallagher, Ariel (Clyde) Jones, Logun Raper, Oliva Leek; great-grandchildren, Brittin Jones, Aredhel Gallagher; three sisters, Charlene Baker, Phyllis (Russell) Judge and Alice (Robert) McDaniels; and several nieces and nephews.
Family received friends Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022, at the Grisell Funeral Home, 125 Clarinda Dr., Clarington, with Pastor Gordon Gee officiating, Interment will follow at the Clarington Cemetery, Clarington.
