Frank Holley, 89, of Jerusalem, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023, while a patient in Astoria Place, Barnesville.
He was born Jan. 3, 1934, in Leevale, West Virginia, a son of the late James and Edna Jarrell Holley.
Frank was a retired foreman at the former Ohio Valley Coal Company near Beallsville, a member of the Beallsville First Christian Church, and a member of the Switzerland of Ohio Country Club. He was a loyal WVU Mountaineers fan and enjoyed golfing. He loved gardening and watching the hummingbirds, however his greatest joy came from spending time with family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by five sisters.
Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife and best friend of 53 years, Kathy Holcomb Holley; two sons, Franklin (Michele) Holley and David Holley; three grandchildren, Trey, Zane and Maddyn; also a brother, Freddie Holley.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023, at the Beallsville First Christian Church. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
