Frankie Downes, 81, passed away March 20, 2025, at her home in Lincoln, Del. She was born in Longview, Wash., to the late Willie F. and Mildred Boring McClellan. Frankie was a former resident of Woodsfield, Ohio, a member of the First Baptist Church of Woodsfield and a 1961 graduate of River High School.
 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Downes, brothers-in-law Larry Strouse and Bill Davis, nephew Randy McClellan and former sister-in-law, Andrea McClellan.
 Frankie is survived by her son, C.T. Downes of Lincoln, grandsons Tyler, Carson and Colton, brothers Rick McClellan of Columbus, Bill (Mary Kay) McClellan of Gahanna, sisters Pat Strouse of Obetz and Judy Davis of Columbus, former sister-in-law Tammy McClellan of Woodsfield, nephews Ron (Beth) McClellan of Cleveland, Sean McClellan of Frankfort, Kentucky, Braden (Kristyn) McClellan of Columbus, niece Austin McClellan of Columbus and cousins Jerry McClellan and Gary (Cindy) McClellan of Woodsfield, in addition to numerous Tennessee and Florida relatives.
 Always willing to open her home to those needing one, she was a kind and giving person. Per Frankie’s wishes, her body has been donated to Anatomy Gifts Registry of Hanover, Maryland. A graveside service will take place in Georgetown, Del., later this year.
