Freda C. Dick, 94, of Beallsville, (formerly of Lewisville) passed away Sunday, Nov. 13, 2022, at the Doctors Hospital North, Columbus.

She was born at Summerfield, on May 5, 1928, a daughter of the late Raymond and Lala Morrison Smithberger.

She was a homemaker and was a member of the former St. Joseph Catholic Church near Lewisville.

She enjoyed farming, gardening, baking, playing bingo and babysitting children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Andrew Dick; three sons, John George Dick, James Richard Dick and Joseph Andrew Dick; two sisters, June Jordan and Laura Everly and one brother, Earl Smithberger.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Rodney) Butler, of Calais, and Judy (Troy) Russell, of Beallsville; four sons, Neil (Carolyn) Dick, of Lewisville; Michael Dick, of Graysville, Louis Dick, of Lewisville, and Steve Dick and his fiancé Lisa, of Lewisville; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 18, 2022, with Fr. Timothy Davison officiating.

Vigil services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022, at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery near Lewisville.
