In June of 1942, at only 18 years of age, Woodsfield’s American patriot Herman Zerger enlisted in the U.S. Army.

Zerger did this to serve his country and he did so bravely and with honor.

Ellen Ring and Colin Libby were married on June 9, 2018, at Something Old in Dayton, planned by the Gem City Pop Up Wedding Company.

Board of Elections News

The last day to register to vote for the November 6, 2018 General Election is October 9, 2018. The office will be open from 9 a.m to 9 p.m.

The board will be holding a Special Meeting on September 5, 2018 to finalize the November 6, 2018 General Election Ballot, and any other business to come before the board.

Meeting Dates 8/30/18

The Park Board of Monroe County will meet at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4 at the Monroe County Park District office.

The HOPE Alliance will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at St. Paul’s UCC, South Main Street, Woodsfield.
