Glenda I. Weldon, 77, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2025, at her home.
She was born at Marietta, Ohio, on January 22, 1948, a daughter of the late Harry and Garnet Gardner Sivard.
Glenda was a retired telephone operator for SBC/AT&T and also Hot Springs Housing Authority, Hot Springs, Ark.
Glenda formerly lived in Hot Springs for many years where she had many friends.
She enjoyed gambling, shopping, porch sitting with family and friends, dressing to the nines with everything matching, telling stories and never telling a lie but just the way she saw it.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, William Haught Jr.
Surviving are daughter, Sara Haught of Benton, Ark.; sister, Marsha (Jeff) Wilson of Woodsfield; brother, Roger (Lois) Sivard of Graysville, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Karin Haught of Fairborn, Ohio; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews; several; great-nieces and -nephews; special friends, Greg and Ellen Morton of Woodsfield.
Abiding by Glenda’s wishes, a cremation will take place.
Friends and family are invited to a Family Gathering at Watters Funeral Home, Woodsfield, from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, August 14, 2025.
Inurnment will be held at Oaklawn Cemetery, Woodsfield, at the convenience of the family.
