Grace Shriver Saffield Mobley, 85, of Beallsville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 14, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was born March 22, 1937, in St. Clairsville, a daughter of the late Wilfred and Laura Baker Shriver.

Grace was a member of the Beallsville Church of Christ and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, church family and neighbors. She was a retired cosmetologist and also worked as a nurse’s aide at the Arbors of Woodsfield. Her many talents included a competitive nature with playing games. At the top of her list were the games Social Security, Dominoes, and Carom. For many years Grace belonged to a Card Club. She was also an avid reader. Grace enjoyed spending winters with her husband, Dale, in Florida, and taking trips to new places with family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Eugene Saffield, also by her twin sisters, Hazel Howell and Helen Baker.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Dale Mobley; three daughters, Brenda Saffield, of Columbus, Diana and Jerry Tarr, of Westervill, and Lori and Chris Vranish of Gambrills, Maryland; step-children Steve Mobley, of Woodsfield, and Melanie and Chris Burton, of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Jessica Tarr, Travis and Katie Truax, Lauren Truax and Matthew Lerch and Joshua Tarr and Léa Vranish; a step-grandson, Tye and Cheyanne Van Horn; a great-grandchild, Blake Truax; a sister, Bonnie and Lowell Datkuliak; a brother, John and Jenneth Shriver; also many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, at the Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, Beallsville, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, with Minister Colin Morrison presiding. Burial will follow in Beallsville Cemetery.
