HEBER E. DOUGHERTY SR.

 Heber E. Dougherty Sr., 83, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at Barnesville Hospital Barnesville, Ohio. He was born January 5, 1941, at Graysville, Ohio, a son of the late Ralph and Edna Nalley Dougherty.
 He was a coal miner and had worked for Y&O and also strip mining at R&F and M&F, and had also worked at Smithbergers Saw Mill, and Asplundh.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Heber “Buck” E. Dougherty Jr., an infant son Buddy Joe, grandson Bobby Rothenbuhler, and brothers and sisters; Arthur, Paul, Doris, Lloyd, Ed, Reba, Chub, Bonnie, and Donna.
 He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vivian Palmer Dougherty of Woodsfield, son Ralph (Donna) Dou­gherty of Malaga, daughters Darlene (Ron Knowlton) Winland of Woodsfield, Jeanette (Jeff) Gumm of Indianapolis, Ind., and Cindy (Mark Griffith) Rid­geway of Woodsfield, daughter-in-law Angie Dou­gherty, brothers Ronnie, Keith, Gary, and Jim and sister Mary Scott, grandchildren, Jack, Chasity, Brandi, Peanut, Jennifer, Randy, Randa, Derrek, Kassey, Haley, Asher, Erica, and Davee, 27 great -grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.
 Friends will be received from 2 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield. Interment at the conve­nience of the family.
