Inez Caldwell, 106, of Beallsville, died Thursday, July 20, 2023, in Emerald Pointe Nursing and Rehab Center, Barnesville. 

She was born Feb. 17, 1917, near Powhatan Point, one of five children of the late Frank and Leanna Johnson Hammond. 

Inez and her late husband, Charles, owned and operated a Holstein dairy farm near Beallsville for many of their 70 years of marriage and they were active members of the Beallsville Church of Christ. 

In addition to her husband and her parents, Inez was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Robert Hammond, also by two sisters, Betty Hammond and Mary McGrew. 

Left to cherish her memory are two children, Neal (Barbara) Caldwell, of Coshocton, and Arleen (Jack) Price, of Beallsville; four grandchildren, Kimberly Caldwell, Heath (Amy) Caldwell, Kurt Price (Nicole), and Kent (Bre) Price; four great-grandchildren, Evan Caldwell, Emily Caldwell, Austyn Price and Mazikeen Price. 

Family and friends were received Monday, July 24, 2023, at Wilson Funeral Home – Harper Chapel, where funeral services were held Tuesday, July 25, 2023, with Colin Morrison officiating. Interment in Beallsville Cemetery will be held at a later date. Condolences may be offered at www.harperfh.net.
