Jackie Gene “Jack” Brown, 86, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Friday, April 12, 2024, at Stellar Care Center, Woodsfield, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.
 He was born near Sardis, Ohio, on October 7, 1937, a son of the late Floyd and Alma Belle Rosenlieb Brown.
 Jack was a retired carpenter by trade and a former custodian at Citizens National Bank, Woodsfield. He was a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Woodsfield.
 Jack enjoyed farming and baking pies.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Dougherty Brown, who died in March 2000, an infant brother and a niece, Lisa Brown.
 He is survived by a brother, Paul (Marian Sue) Brown, of Trail Run; a sister Nancy Pryor of Columbus, Ohio; nieces Paula Brown Canter, Gina Brown Workman, Michele Pryor Smith, Carmen Pryor Blankenship, Denise Ayers; nephews, Darrin Brown, Jason Brown; several great-nieces andnephews.
 Private visitation for family only will be held at Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78, Woodsfield.
 Family and friends are invited to attend graveside services at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield, with Fr. Timothy Davison officiating.
