James “Jim” Ollom, 83, formerly of the German Ridge Community, Powhatan Point died Sunday, July 5, 2020, in the Ohio Veterans Home, Sandusky.
He was born Sept. 3, 1936, in Clarington, a son of the late Adam and Mildred Lapp Ollom.
Jim was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a member of St. Johns United Church of Christ, German Ridge. He was a foreman for R & F Coal and he was also at one time a barber in the Village of Clarington.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Carol Isaly Ollom; three children, Debbie (Sam) Geiser, of Fombell, Pennsylvania, Mark (Maryann) Ollom, of Bridgeport, West Virginia; Bryan (Debbie) Ollom, of St. Clairsville; a brother, Ron (Phyllis) Ollom, of Clarington; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and nieces and cousins.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Forni. Private services will be held at a time of the family’s choosing.
