Jay Kevin Kraft, 62, of Laings, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2023, watching his beloved rodeos on TV.

Kevin was born in New Martinsville, West Virginia, on Oct. 21, 1960, a son of Paul and Sara Herndon Kraft.

Kevin attended and was a member of Moffett Fletcher Church. Kevin attended MACO Workshop all his adult years. During which time he developed lifelong friendships.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, JJ and Shirley Kraft; two sisters, Tru and Steve Jorris and Kay and Bryan Mellott; nephews and nieces, Michael and Charity Jorris, Taylor Jorris and Jess Collums, Cy Kraft and Aedyn Kraft; and great-nieces and nephew Jadyn, Kennadi, Keegan and Boone.

Kevin had a love for animals and farming. He had a special connection to the Workmans, Marlin, Linda, Jason, Leslie, Whitney, Jenna and families, who allowed him to be part of their farm.

Friends were received until time of funeral service Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, with Pastor Bill Abrams officiating.
