Jeanette “Jeanie” L. Ramsay, 84, of Lima, Ohio, formerly of Woodsfield, Ohion, passed away on December 7, 2023, at 11:26 p.m. at her daughter’s residence. Jeanie was born January 29, 1939, in Cameron, Ohio, to Ed and Bessie L.(Ady) Pletcher who preceded her in death.
 Jeanie is survived by her children: Christine Ramsey of Woodsfield, Joni (Charles) Smith of Lima, and Curt Ramsay of Woodsfield, nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a sister, Patricia (Don) Raper of Woodsfield. She was preceded in death by a son, John Ramsay, a brother, Dale Pletcher and a sister, Cathy Grimes.
 Jeanie was a 1956 graduate of Woodsfield High School. She had worked at Riesbeck’s Grocery, McDonald’s and then her own video store called The Video Place that she owned and operated, all in Woodsfield. Jeanie enjoyed reading, the ocean and she loved her cats. Above all else, she truly loved being a mom and grandma.
 Following Jeanie’s wishes there will be no services held at this time. Burial of cremated remains will be held privately at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Auglaize County Animal Shelter. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.chiles-lamanfh.com.
