Joan Beckett, age 90, a resident of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022.

She was born in Sardis, on Nov. 28, 1931, the daughter of the late Paul and Gaye (Shreve) Wohnhas.

Joan was a long-time member and Sunday School teacher at the Louisville Church of Christ and a member of Stepping Stones for Ohio Valley College. She was a retired Louisville School District bus driver.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert in 1981; sisters, Janice Brown, and Judy Wohnhas; daughter-inlaw, Mrs. Lynn (Kathy) Beckett.

She is survived by daughters, Beverly Beckett (Ron Tansek) and Bethany (Bill) Clugston; sons, Lynn Beckett and Layne Beckett; grandson, Kyle (Jessica) Beckett; great-grandchildren, Myla, Kinley and Parker Beckett; brothers, Paul Wohnhas, Max Wohnhas and Gary (Shelvejean) Wohnhas; sister, Josephine (Guy) Brown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 in the Louisville Church of Christ.

A private graveside service was held Saturday, Oct. 1, 2022 at West Union Cemetery.
