Joan Frances Zerger Foerster, 82, of San Dimas, Calif., passed away October 10, 2024, at Pacific Senior Living Hillsborough, Chino, Calif. She was born in Brooklyn, Ohio, on June 12, 1942, to the late Francis and Edith Foehrenbach Zerger.
Joan was an elementary school teacher for 30 years with a Master of Arts in Education from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and an undergraduate degree from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a member of the National Rifle Association.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband George Foerster and sister Margie Thomas.
She is survived by a son Arthur Foerster, Glen Ellyn, Ill.; daughters Heidi Franzoni, Chino, Tonya Theveny, Star, Idaho, Edith Foerster, Bozeman, Mont.; grandchildren Quinn Foerster, Owen Foerster, Demitri Franzoni, Julian Franzoni, Gia Franzoni, Jenna Theveny, Caitlin Theveny, Samantha Newbold and a great-grandchild Promise Franzoni.
Friends and family will be received from 12 p.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, Woodsfield, Ohio, with Keith Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery Lewisville, Ohio.
