Judy Ann Gorman, 76, of Athens, Ohio, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.
Born May 9, 1948 in Ohio, she was the daughter of Wilbert and Elizabeth (Morrison) Franks. She was the cherished wife of James Gorman, her devoted husband of 52 years.
Judy was a graduate of Ohio University, where she received a master’s degree in microbiology. She worked as a laboratory technologist at O’Bleness Hospital and the Osteopathic Medical Center at Ohio University. She went on to become a dedicated homemaker, who lovingly raised her four children. Judy also assisted managing her husband’s business, Gorman-Redlich Manufacturing Company. She was a member of St. Paul & Christ the King parish in Athens, Ohio.
Surviving in addition to her husband are children John Gorman, Elizabeth Febles (Celso), Catherine Brown (Brian), Thomas Gorman (Miriam); brother Dana Franks (Karen); and eight beloved grandchildren (Gabriela, Emily, Allison, Meredith, Shannon, Isadora, Emily Grace, Colin).
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 14, 2025 at 11 a.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 43 Monroe St., Westminster MD 21157.
Inurnment will be held in Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Athens, Ohio.
