KAREN SUE HUPP

 Karen Sue Hupp, 77, of Sardis, Ohio (Trail Run Community), peacefully passed of natural causes from this world into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 13, 2024 surrounded by her family. Karen was born to Chester and Katherine Yester Reese on May 5, 1946.
 Karen was a bright and exceptional student, so much so that she was asked to skip an entire grade and ultimately becoming a graduate of River High School. Furthering her education took a different turn when she met and ultimately married the love of her life Paul (Benny) Hupp on September 6, 1965. They embarked on many adventures as she accompanied Benny on his travels with the Air Force. Upon her return Karen worked at her family’s business, Reese’s Sohio Service Station and grocery store for many years while raising her beloved family. She was a faithful, lifelong member of St. Paul’s Church Trail Run where she was a member of The Ladies Aid. She was a member of the New Matamoras Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star as well as a member of the Red Hat Society. Karen volunteered her time with the Board of Elections and was a proud member of the Republican Party. She was a wonderful Sunday School teacher and loved helping with Bible School.
 She loved spending time with family playing cards, board games, watching movies, and was happiest around her grandchildren where she was known as “Mamoo” and “Gram” and was always attending one of their many activities, as their number one fan.
 Karen was preceded in death by her father Chester Reese, mother Katherine Reese, sister Pamela Goldcamp and two great-grandchildren, Nora Marjorie Lyons and Baby Lyons.
 She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Paul Benjamin (Benny) Hupp of Sardis, son Joseph (Susan) Hupp of Lowell, Ohio, daughter Julie (Jim) Wojcik of Vincent, Ohio, grandchildren Micayla (Andrew) Lyons, Cameron and Bodie Hupp, Ty and Lakyn Ellenwood, Grace, Victoria, and Gabby Wojcik and great-granddaughter Clara Kay Lyons.
 Friends were received from 1 – 3 and 5 – 7 p.m. on Friday, February 16 at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 South Paul Street, Woodsfield, Ohio. Funeral services were on Saturday, February 17 at 11 a.m. at Bauer-Turner Funeral Home with a burial service following at St. Paul’s Church Cemetery – Trail Run, 43936 Joe Frobish Road, Sardis.
 In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul’s Church Trail Run in Karen’s memory, 43936 Joe Frobish Road, Sardis, OH 43946.
