Kimberly Elaine Poorman, age 52, passed away from appendiceal cancer peacefully on March 14, 2023, at Aultman Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on March 18, 1970, in Charleston, South Carolina, to Ralph and Connie Young, of Lewisville.
She was a 1988 graduate (Salutatorian) of Skyvue High School. A 1991 graduate of Aultman School of Nursing, and furthered her degrees at Walden University. She was currently employed by Aultman Health Foundation since 1988. She was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Canton.
She was survived by her husband, Art Poorman; daughters, Emma and Megan and her fiancé Austin; her parents, Ralph and Connie Young; brother, Chris; sister, Amanda (Heath) Stuart; sister-in-law, Penny (Marvin) Fox; nephews, Griffin, Gavin and Blake; and nieces, Abigail and Maddy.
She was very involved with her daughters’ activities. She was also a member of the Big Brother Big Sister Program, an avid Disney fan, and enjoyed volunteering at 4-H Camp Piedmont as a counselor and nurse.
