KIMBERLY JO SEFERT

Kimberly Jo Sefert, 35, of Woodsfield, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, at Riverside Methodist Hospital Columbus.

She was born Jan. 23, 1987, in Wheeling, West Virginia, a daughter of Randy and Phyllis Stewart Monahan, of Woodsfield.

She is a 2005 graduate of Monroe Central High School. Kim has spent her career working in the restaurant business. Since 2012, Kim has owned and operated Pizza Shack in Woodsfield. In her free time Kim enjoyed spending time with her family. Together they enjoyed spending time on the lake and boating. Kim had been involved in many community events and organizations. For several years, she served as the President of Home and School for St. Sylvester. She also held various other positions within the school, which included fund raising. She was a local Boy Scout Den Leader for several years, and held various officer positions for local sporting leagues. She had been Vice President of a local nonprofit charity, which serves the community in any way they can. The charity provided support to families during various times of the years. During the 2018 holiday season, the holidays were brighter for 220 local children through donations of Christmas gifts. During the winter months, free winter coats were made available to those in need.

In addition to her parents, Randy and Phyllis Monahan, she is survived by her husband, Randall Sefert, of Woodsfield; two children, Parker and Persephone of the home. She is also survived by two brothers, Benji (Valorie) Monahan and Bradley Monahan, both of Woodsfield.

Friends were received Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022 at the Bauer-Turner Funeral Home Woodsfield, with Sarah Dupray officiating. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
