You are hereby notified that you have been named as a Defendant in a legal action entitled John Detweiler, et al., v. Cyrus F. McDougal, et al. This action has been assigned Case No. CV 2019-250 and is pending in the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County, Ohio before Honorable Judge Julie R. Selmon. 

The object of the Complaint is to quiet title and extinguish the Defendants’ oil and gas rights, if any, in part or all of Monroe Auditor’s Parcel No. 28-017008.0000 (81.006 acres, more or less) located in Switzerland Township, Monroe County, Ohio: A complete description of the above listed parcels can be found in the Complaint.

You are hereby required to answer the Complaint within 28 days after the last publication of this Notice, which will be published once each week for six (6) successive weeks. The last publication will be made on Sept. 12, 2019, and the 28 days for an answer by you will commence on that date. You must file an answer to the Complaint with the Monroe County Clerk of the Monroe County Common Pleas Court, Monroe County Courthouse, 101 N. The object of the complaint is to appropriate an easement and right-of-way over the real property known as Monroe County tax parcel nos. 290320090000 and 290320091000, located at 33199 S.R. 260, Rinard Mills, Ohio 45774, for the construction, operation, and maintenance of electric power lines, including poles, cables, wires and other necessary structures and appurtenances.

Plaintiff prays that its petition for appropriation be granted, that the fair market value of the easement being sought by Plaintiff and any other compensation due to the unknown property owner(s) be determined, and that Plaintiff be granted the easement over and across the Real Property of the unknown property owner(s).

You are hereby required to answer the Complaint within twenty-eight (28) days after the last publication of this Notice, which will be published once each week for six (6) successive weeks, pursuant to R.C. 163.07.
