MONROE COUNTY OPWC/FEMA REPAIR PROJECT

CR27-2.76

Sealed proposals will be received at the office of the Monroe County Commissioners, 101 N. Main Street, Room 34, Courthouse, Woodsfield, OH 43793, until August 30th, 2021 by 11:00 a.m., for the furnishing of all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the following slip repair project: CR27-2.76

The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the above said time and place.

Contract documents, bid sheets, plans and specifications can be obtained at the Monroe County Engineers Office, 47134 Moore Ridge Road, Woodsfield, OH 43793.

Each bidder is required to furnish with its proposal, a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond in accordance with section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in bond form, shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder shall be pre-qualified by the Ohio Department of Transportation at the time of the bid opening and shall submit certification of said approval and pre-qualifications with bid. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than October 30, 2021.

All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal employment opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.

Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Monroe County as determined by the Ohio Bureau of Employment Services, Wage and Hour Division.

The Board of Monroe County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

INVITATION TO BID

Sealed proposals for the Walking Trail Excavation project will be received by the Monroe

County Commissioners at their office, 101 North Main Street, Room 34, Woodsfield, OH 43793 until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021, and then at said time at said office opened and read aloud.

This project will make improvements to two sections of the public walking trail off Old Airport Road in the Village of Woodsfield by excavating, installing drainage culverts, and finishing with aggregate. Plans, specifications, and bid forms may be secured by contacting M.J. Westfall, OSU Extension, at westfall.23@osu.edu.

Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in an amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the aforesaid Monroe County Commissioners or by certified check, cashier’s check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the aforesaid Monroe County Commissioners. Bid bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. If utilizing a combination bid/performance/payment (contract) bond, said bond shall conform to Ohio Revised Code 153.57.

Attention of bidders is called to the requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the Federal Labor Standards Revision, Davis-Bacon Act, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price with a surety satisfactory to the Monroe County Commissioners. No bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Monroe County Commissioners reserve the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids.

NOTICE

The Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Commission will cause an election of Supervisors of the Monroe Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) to be held in accordance with Chapter 940 of the Ohio Revised Code. Individuals who own or occupy land within. The Monroe Soil and Water Conservation District and are 18 years of age or older may vote for Supervisor.

There are 4 ways an eligible voter can cast a ballot:

1.) At the SWCD office from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM during normal business hours; or

2.) At the SWCD Annual Meeting, which will take place on the Monroe County Fairgrounds on October 2, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM; or

3.) At the Open House, which will take place at Monroe SWCD Office, 46762 SR 26

4.) The object of Plaintiff’s First Amended Complaint, insofar as their claims are addressed to you, is to obtain court declarations regarding the validity and/or interpretation of certain reservations and/or conveyances of oil and gas rights in the chain of title to the Property described as 124.27 acres, more or less, located in Salem Township, Monroe County, Ohio, currently assessed as all or part of Tax Parcel Nos. 180190120000; and to 180190130000; and to obtain a court order quieting title to certain oil and gas rights in the Property in the name of the Plaintiff.

You are required to answer the First Amended Complaint within 28 days after the last publication of this notice, which will be published once each week for six successive weeks. The last publication will be made Sept. 30, 2021 and the 28 days for answer will commence on that date.
