You are hereby notified that you have been named as Defendants in a legal action entitled Donald Yonley, et al., vs. Samuel Mehrley, et al., Defendants. This action has been assigned Case Number 2018-471 and is pending in the Court of Common Pleas of Monroe County, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.

The object of the Complaint is to quiet title and extinguish the Defendants’ oil and gas rights in the following described real estate:

SITUATED IN THE TOWNSHIP OF JACKSON IN THE COUNTY OF MONROE AND STATE OF OHIO AND BOUNDED AND DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

Tract 1: In the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 35, Township 1, of Range 4 containing forty acres. Also the north part of the southwest quarter of the southeast quarter commencing for the same at the southwest corner of the first described tract; thence south with N.P. Haught’s line six rods to the top of a steep bank; thence with meanderings of said bank south 76° east two rods; thence south 67° east twenty-four rods; thence south 45° east twenty-six rods; thence south 53° east eighteen rods to E.D. Johnson’s line; thence north seventy rods to a stone at corner of said south quarter of the south east quarter; thence west eighty rods to place of beginning; containing eighteen acres more or less however reserving therefrom one and three-fourths acres off of the northeast corner of the first described tract sold to William Busche containing in all fifty-six acres, more or less.

Being in the SE ¼, SW ¼ of Section 35 and in the NE ¼ SW ¼ of Section 35, beginning for the same on a fence corner on west side of run which is east 660 feet; N. 33° 47’ E. 398 feet; N. 27° 59’ E. 903.53 feet to the SW corner Section 35; thence up run N. 23° 05’ E. 934.94 feet to a dead tree at Minger and Langsdorf corner; thence with Minger line N. 34° 50’ E. 714.81 feet to fence post; thence S. 87° 42’ E. 672.54 feet to a concrete monument at corner common to Minger, Bumpus, Yonally and Miller; thence S. 2° 20’ W. 1624.25 feet to center of road; thence N. 68° 35’ W. 102 feet N. 52° 05’ W. 16 feet to Miller and Evans corner; thence with Evans line S. 48° 40’ W. 817.44 feet to John Miller-Torpy corner; thence N. 43° 27’ W. 958.52 feet to beginning, containing 47.34 acres. And as surveyed by Gerald W. Sims, Surveyor, August 7-10, 1952.

Excepting from the above described premises the following described tract, to-wit:

Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Monroe County, Ohio, will receive sealed bids in their office located at 101 N. Main St., Rm. 34, Courthouse, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793, Monday April 2, 2019, until 11:00 a.m., at which time the bids will be opened for supplying Monroe County with liquid asphalt in unspecified amounts, to be used in the road resurfacing program and dust control during the 2019 season.

Specification and bid requirements for the liquid asphalt must be picked up at the County Garage Office located at 47134 Moore Ridge Road, Woodsfield, Ohio 43793.

The Monroe County Engineer and Commissioners reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to accept the bid which best promotes the best interest of Monroe County.

Seneca Township, Monroe County will be accepting bids for mowing, trimming, and cleaning stones at the Calais Cemetery and entrance to the cemetery. They should be 18 years old or older. They must furnish mowers, trimmers, and the fuel. They will need to provide proof of insurance and the township is not responsible for any accidents. Bids are to be submitted by April 5, 2019. The bids will be opened on April 6, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Bids should be for each mowing, not entire season, with the trustees having discretion as to when the cemetery will be mowed. The trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids.

Benton Township is taking bids for mowing at the following locations:  Brownsville UMC Church and Cemetery, Rings Mill Cemetery, Benton Township Cemetery (Pool’s), Township Hall (Grange), and Township Garage. 

Bids not to exceed $2,800.00 for all 5 total locations.  Bids can be for all 5 locations or any specific location and pay will be broken down percentage wise by the trustees.   Minimum of 3 mowing and trimmings per month for 6 months starting April 15, 2019 Trustees request that the cemeteries be mowed for Memorial Day weekend by Friday.   Use your own equipment and fuel, and supplies. Benton Township is not responsible for any injuries.   Bids must be submitted no later than April 4, 2019 at 6:00 pm, bid will be awarded at this time at regular Township meeting.  Township has the right to accept or refuse any or all bids.

Request for Qualifications and Proposals

Monroe County intends to apply for the PY 2019 Community Housing Impact and Preservation Program (CHIP which may include CDBG, HOME, and OHT funds) competitive grant administered by Ohio Development Services Agency/Office of Community Development (ODSA/OCD). The County is interested in acquiring the services of a consultant firm or engineer to prepare the application, perform the environmental review, implement the program and develop the program.
