Linda Lee Young, 73, of Lower Salem, passed away Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 at the University Hospital, Cleveland.

She was born at Lima, on March 5, 1949, a daughter of the late Jack and Glenna Christian McCarty.

Linda was a devoted Christian and a homemaker by trade. She enjoyed gardening and buying and remodeling homes. The most important treasures in her life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and serving the Lord.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, John Glen Young; two sisters, Deborah Oliver and Diane Burkholder; one brother, Robert McCarty; a son-in-law, Dana Stump; and a granddaughter, Vada Bauerbach.

Surviving are her husband, Larry Young whom she married on July 29, 1963; four daughters, Tina (Jeff) Brown, of Lima, Jacqulyn Stump, of Dunkirk, Shannon (Terry) Robinson, of Waterford, and Shain (Rick) Shipp, of Woodsfield; one son, Larry (Kristen) Young Jr., of Graysville; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends were received Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2022 at the Woodsfield Fire House, 38000 Old Airport Rd., Woodsfield, where a Celebration of Life service was held with Pastor Jim Porter officiating.

Inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
