Lois Kay Rush Lawrence, 68, of Sardis, passed away Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at her home.
She was born July 5, 1952, in Steubenville, a daughter of the late Glen and Hilda Rush Whiteman.
She was a retired nurse, an avid River Pilot and WVU Mountaineer fan and loved being around her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Gilbert Lawrence; her maternal grandparents who adopted her; and her siblings, John and Lucy Rush; two brothers, Edgar and Kenneth Rush; and two sisters, Wanda Carpenter and Glenda Sue Ames.
Survivors include a son, Tony Lawrence, and a daughter, Janna (Dan Fluharty) Stone, both of Sardis; two brothers, Otis (Glenda) Rush, of Proctor, West Virginia, and Paul (Teresa) Rush, of New Martinsville, West Virginia; a sister, Diana (Roger) Wade, of Proctor, West Virginia; six grandchildren, Jenny Lawrence, William Wayson, Colton Lawrence, Chase Lawrence and Faith and Hope Fluharty; two great-grandsons, Elijah Lawrence and Bradley Fluharty.
Family received friends Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, West Virginia, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, with Pastor Mike Shank officiating.
