Mary Ann Butler, 70, of Woodsfield, passed away Saturday, April 15, 2023, at her home.
She was born near Lewisville on Sept. 29, 1952, a daughter of the late Clarence Andrew Dick and Freda Smithberger Dick.
Mary was a former STNA at the Monroe County Care Center, the Americare Nursing & Rehab Center, Summit Acres Nursing Home and also formerly worked at the 5 B’s sewing factory, Barnesville. She was also a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg.
She was a loving and caring person who adored her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, John George Dick, James Richard Dick and Joseph Andrew Dick.
Surviving are her husband, Rodney Butler, whom she married on Aug. 8, 1970; two daughters, Diana (Jerry) Clark, of Woodsfield, and Michelle (Chuck) Warner, of Summerfield; one son, David (Tiffany) Butler, of Barnesville; one sister, Judy (Troy) Russell, of Beallsville; four brothers, Neil (Carolyn) Dick, of Lewisville, Michael Dick, of Graysville, Louis Dick, of Lewisville, and Steven Dick and his fiancé, Lisa, of Lewisville; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and one on the way; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends were received Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Miltonsburg, with Fr. Timothy Davison and Fr. Chester Pabin officiating.
Burial will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery, Miltonsburg.
Rosary services were held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 18, 2023, at the funeral home.
