Mary Evelyn Potts, age 78, of Sardis, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2022 in Arbors at Woodsfield.

She was born May 27, 1944, in New Matamoras, daughter of the late Eugene Ewers and Thelma (Stacy) Ewers.

Evelyn was a retired bank teller for Citizens Bank and a member of Sardis United Methodist Church. She was a volunteer for Sardis MANNA.

Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, James and Roger Ewers.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Ted Potts; two sons, Todd (Karen) Potts, of Woodsfield and Tim (Anna Pratt and her children, Ava and Evan) Potts, of Wooster; former daughter-in-law, Holly Baker, of Ashland; four grandchildren, Zachary Potts (Cassidy Mangum and her children Bentley, Bristol and Blake), of Woodsfield, Tanner Potts, of Woodsfield, Chloe Potts and Isabella Potts, of Ashland; sister, Ellen (Ray) Ebert, of New Martinsville, West Virginia; and sister- in-law, Eva Ewers of Creston.

The family received friends on Sunday, Oct. 9, 2022 at Grisell Funeral Home, 751 Third St., New Martinsville, West Virginia, where funeral services were held Monday Oct. 10, 2022 with Evangelist Greg Yost officiating.

Interment was in Harter Cemetery, Hannibal.
