Michael W. Young, 68, of Woodsfield, Ohio, passed away Thursday August 8, 2024, at WVU Ruby Memorial Hospital Morgantown, W.V. He was born in Marietta, Ohio September 22, 1955, a son of the late Ward C. Young, and Irene J. Geldmacher Young.
 He was a retired crew management maintenance consultant for Eramet Marietta Incorporated, and a US. Navy Veteran.
 In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Eleanor Young and Donetta Shepard.
 He is survived by his wife Nancy Miller Young of Woodsfield, five children Tina Thomas of Woodsfield, Trever Slavin of Woodfield, Tracey Slavin of Woodsfield, Terrie O’Neal of South Carolina, and Tonya Allison of Antioch, three sisters Iris Hartshorn of Lewisville, Carol Dougherty of Freeport, and Virginia Caivano of Salem, Massachusetts, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
 There will be no visitation. Arrangements entrusted to Bauer-Turner Funeral Home, 100 S. Paul St., Woodsfield. Interment at the convenience of the family.
