St. Sylvester accreditation brings books and blessings

“No one told me it would be this hard to pick,” said Monroe County Auditor Pandora Neuhart as she and Sandy Barnes scrutinized ten pizza boxes dressed as books. The boxes were submissions in an art contest at St. Sylvester School in Woodsfield Friday, May 11.

“It’s Right to Read Week,” said fifth grade teacher Dara Butler of the display. “This is a week we use to encourage literacy. We want the kids to read, get excited about it.”

The theme of the week this year was “take a trip around the world.”
