Annual antique auction sure to draw a crowd during 2017 Fall Festival

While there are many attractions scheduled for the fourth annual Monroe County Fall Festival, one that is sure to draw a crowd is the annual antique auction hosted by the Monroe County Historical Society.

Joyce Wiggins, of the Historical Society, said the annual auction started with the inception of the Black Walnut Festival nearly 30 years ago.

The original auction featured all black walnut furniture, going along with the theme of the festival.
