EMS receives time-saving equipment upgrade

Thanks to the Monroe County Commissioners, who approved funding, EMS ambulances will all be equipped with multi-function monitors that will simplify monitoring during transport and provide immediate feedback to the hospital upon arrival.

EMS Coordinator Phil Keevert said the final shipment of Monroe County EMS new Lifepak 12 equipment had just arrived the prior day, and Anthony McDaniel of Squad 4 provided hands-on experience in the use of the units and accessories to attending members of each squad at a County EMS Association meeting July 10 at the Squad 4 EMS building in Woodsfield. This enabled the crews to place the units in service the next day.
