Hupp offers resignation to SOLSD School Board

The Switzerland of Ohio Local School District Board of Education will need a new member as it accepted the resignation of Jacqueline Hupp Tuesday, April 11 during its regular meeting at the district office in Woodsfield.

Hupp has served on the board for the past three years and would have been up for re-election in November. There are seven months remaining on her term.

Hupp’s resignation will be effective May 1.

She cited “personal reasons” in a letter of resignation to the board.

“It is with great regret that I resign my position in the Board of Education,” Hupp wrote in the letter. “I would like t thank my current administration team for all their hard work and support during my tenure serving the children of this district. It is my sincere hope that this district moves forward, securing the best possible education and future for our students.”

Switzerland of Ohio Local School District Superintendent Jeffrey Greenley expressed his gratitude for Hupp’s service, especially her support for special education students.
