Local women leave the game heroines
When Gail Zwick of Marr left the house for her daughter Allee’s volleyball game at Lancaster High School Nov. 1, she had no idea that she and her other daughter Laken would leave the game heroines.
“The game was over, and I was ready to go and waiting,” said Gail, “when someone came over to me and said, ‘Laken’s working on your neighbor, who is passed out.’”
While others had assumed that the neighbor had passed out from the heat, Laken, a registered nurse, asked if there was a pulse. Upon determining that there was no pulse, Laken immediately began CPR.
