Mr. Greenley goes to Washington
In a move that could prove to be transformative for Switzerland of Ohio schools, school officials traveled to Washington, D.C. April 18 in an attempt to retain a portion of local oil and gas revenues within the district.
District Superintendent Jeff Greenley served as a witness in a legislative hearing on H.R. 3846, the Providing Opportunity with Energy Revenues in Counties Act (POWER Counties Act). The bill was introduced in September by Representative Bill Johnson from Ohio’s 6th Congressional District.
