National Girl Scout week
Next week thousands of girls across the nation will be celebrating Girl Scout Week. Locally, members of Troop #1410 will kick off the week during services at Woodsfield 1st United Methodist Church.
Globally now 2.7 million strong - 1.9 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe girls can change the world - Girl Scouts was founded in March 1912 by Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low, who believed in the power of every girl. Following the founder’s vision to help girls discover their strengths, passions, and talents, today’s Girl Scout mission continues building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.
