Sardis Mariner’s Star Quilt Barn recreated in “Chalk-the-Block” event
While artist Sheryl Lazenby was creating a chalk drawing at Easton Town Center’s fifth Chalk-The-Block Festival in Columbus, Ohio on September 24th she talked to the people that gathered around to watch her work.
Sheryl was one of 36 artists participating in the festival in which each artist is given a 10 x 10 asphalt canvas and has to create a chalk drawing from his/her own work in one day. The only requirement for the drawing is that it had to be family friendly.
A crowd gathered around Sheryl as she worked, and out of the corner of her eye she saw a family with two children watching her intently. She continued talking to the crowd about Monroe County and the Monroe County Patchwork Jewels of Monroe County CD Driving Tour.
