Norma Jean (Hoskinson) Griffon, passed away at home Aug. 24, 2022. She was 89 years young.

She was born June 7, 1933, in Paden City, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Richard Arthur and Emma Dean Brown Hoskinson.

She was a homemaker and co-farmer with her husband, Harold Eugene (Gene) Griffon. They were married 65 years and had six children.

Norma was baptized in the Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Richard Jr., Clark, Herbert and Victor; and one infant son.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Griffon; five daughters, Betty Griffon, Tina (Jack) Hess and Sara (Paul) Henthorn, all of Sardis, Nancy (Melvin Grayam) Griffon, of Clarington, and Janet Griffon, of Pennsylvania; a son, David Griffon, of Sardis; 16 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.

She will be sadly missed by her family.

Family received friends on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022, at the Grisell Funeral Home, 37234 Mound St., Sardis, where services were held on Monday, Aug. 29, 2022, with Chaplin Leo Gonot officiating.

Interment followed at St. Johns Church Cemetery Sardis.
